Senior Business Systems Analyst
The Senior Business Systems Analyst will be the liaison between our business and development group, understanding operational needs, translating them into requirements, and ensuring the deliverables match the requirements. Will also be responsible for gaining consensus among multiple business users and overseeing the execution of the plan.
Essential Functions
1.Develop detailed understanding of the key operational components that require system support.
2.Define and document functional and procedural requirements, and use case scenarios.
3.Perform complex process and technical solution design, analysis, and documentation.
4.Assist in the coordination of team activities with Project/Program Managers.
5.Assist the development and management of team and project communications.
6.Facilitate process meetings and design activities between all operating units.
7.Represent corporate IT Team and system capabilities within some operating units.
8.Understand complex business problems and translate them into a business requirements document, work flows, use cases and functional design and assist in technical requirements with minimal supervision.
9.Effectively interact with all levels and departments in the business (accounting, operations, IT, HR) to coordinate activities across multiple project participants (project owners, users, developers, testers, and external clients).
10.Flexibility to fill required roles as the fast-paced, dynamic environment may require.
11.Maintains extreme confidentiality in all cases.
12.Other duties and projects as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Requirements
1.Bachelor’s degree in Business/Technology field.
2.3+ years of business analysis experience; with a total of 6 year’s experience in a business and/or technology role
3.Excellent communication skills, analytical skills, and a highly professional attitude are essential.
4.Ability to manage and prioritize multiple initiatives at one time.
5.Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
Preferred Requirements
1.Project management and leadership qualities used to manage multiple projects at one time.
2.MBA or related Master’s degree.
3.PMP certification.
Physical/Mental Requirements
1.Requires sitting, standing, bending, stooping and reaching with manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, fax machines, calculators, copy machines, telephone and other office equipment. May require lifting up to 20 pounds. Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
2.Must be able to handle diverse work problems on a daily basis. Requires ability to set priorities and work schedule, yet adjust to changes necessitated by last minute assignments and deadline requests that may prove stressful. Consistent pleasant attitude is necessary with personal maturity as an important attribute. Must relate and interact with people at all levels of the agency and in a culturally diverse environment.
3.Requires the ability to travel by car, bus, train, air, or other means of transportation as needed.
4.Limited travel will be required - domestically and internationally.
