Marriott Vacation Club International (MVCI) is a division of Marriott International and operates over 60 vacation ownership resorts worldwide under three brands in addition to the signature line, including Horizons by Marriott Vacation Club, Marriott Grand Residence Club and the Ritz-Carlton Club. The portfolio of resorts represents 20 percent of the vacation ownership market with 225,000 owners and about 10,500 associates. MVCI has three Key Business Processes supporting all four brands, New Product to Market, Customer Relationship Management and Product Supply Management (PSM). PSM is responsible for providing the financial modeling and analytical support to ensure the company’s sales and usage inventory is optimized for the life of the resort which includes three phases; new project planning, inventory sales from pre-construction to sell out and inventory usage by each of our customer segments.

Job Summary

The Senior Business Consultant for Product Supply Management (PSM) Planning & Analysis is responsible for supporting and enabling the business and Market Execution process whose primary responsibility is the optimization of sales and usage inventory for all Marriott Vacation International (MVCI) brands.

Responsibilities include:data compilation and analysis for all reoccurring reporting and approved ad hoc requests and when applicable surfacing process improvement recommendations for consideration. This position is responsible for continually identifying and implementing tools and resources that will increase efficiency, improve productivity and make it easier for our internal customer to access the information they need directly.

Primary Job Functions

- Support the execution of an effective regional Shared Service Agreement (SSA) model to provide ongoing analytical services to PSM Market Execution and Senior Leadership within MVCI.

- Be responsible for the timely and accurate compilation of information required to generate the Product Supply Management (PSM) and specific Enterprise Scorecards on a period basis.

- Produce accurate and timely standard PSM metrics and complete the appropriate level of analysis to establish and present status quo, upward or downward trends.

- Proactively identify on-going trends, future needs and obstacles to achieving business goals.

- Utilize accurate and relevant data to develop recommendations for improving process efficiency and profitability. Support the delivery of timely recommendations to the appropriate internal customer and oversee additional analysis and/or an effective implementation and on-going analysis to validate recommendation, if applicable.

- Proactively collaborate with PSM Regional Directors of Sales Inventory and Regional Directors of Usage Inventory to identify opportunities for inventory optimization and accomplish any agreed upon objective(s) and next steps.

- Enable internal customers by proactively establishing their data and/or resource requirements.

- Support enterprise wide initiatives such as Long Range Planning (LRP), Annual Budget preparation, etc., by providing our internal stakeholders with the data required to develop forecast assumptions and providing senior management with the data summaries required to approve forecast assumptions.

- Maintain a thorough knowledge of existing data within the business and/or procure the required data on a timely basis to ensure that the immediate needs of our internal customers can be met consistently.

- Maintain data integrity to include reliability, accuracy, robustness, ease of access and security.

- Continually improve PSM’s reporting and data mining solutions for all internal customers by remaining current on new technology, researching reasonable options and when appropriate. Participate in the implementation and training of new systems and/or process as applicable.

- Effectively differentiate which on-going ad hoc requests will be supported and which will be declined based on business objectives and available resources. Identify and assign the required resources to support all approved ad hoc requests and when appropriate, propose alternative recommendations for declined requests.

- Proactively anticipate and surface any obstacles that could impede productivity and effectiveness to the appropriate resource.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 3 years professional experience.
- Four year college degree preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in all Microsoft Suites applications including database tools.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
- Highly developed and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to explain complex ideas clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to the audience.
- Conceptual thinker.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with a broad group of stakeholders.
- Ability to travel 20-35%.
