Senior Accountant

Position is responsible for the day to day accounting activities, preparing financial statements and other management reports. This individual will maintain records and accounts to ensure timely and accurate reporting operational improvements, and assist with improvement of financial and other internal controls. The position reports to the company Controller and/or CFO.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports summarizing and forecasting company business activities and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present and expected operations; prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end journal entries with supporting documentation as it relates to company business; prepare monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts, bank accounts, perform true-up calculation, and explain variances for monthly ledger entries; prepare daily deposits, subsequent journal entries and cash flow analysis to evaluate and interpret the financial position of all corporate accounts; develop and maintain financial models and reports for senior management; coordinate and supervise the AP and AR function, currently assigned to other company functions.
REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate will be able to fulfill the following job requirements:

•Minimum 5 and preferably up to 10 years of accounting & finance in a sophisticated company.
•College degree required and CPA or MBA preferred.
•Able to work well with all layers of the organization

•Strong verbal and written skills needed
•Ability to work with others effectively
•Self-motivated and well-rounded experience due to the comprehensive nature of this position
