Salesperson of Colorants for PET & Performance Molding Materials
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: These Sales people (3 positions available) will service the southwest, southeast & Midwest territories of the US meeting the needs of existing customers as well as acquiring new customers. He/she will coordinate with the VP of sales to evaluate customer processes, recommend solutions to problems as well as build his/her existing business with each customer. He/she is also responsible for reporting and updating sales figures to the VP of sales at corporate headquarters in the US.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Through experience in the thermoplastics manufacturing & converting industry, the Sales Representative is responsible for:
-Promoting ColorMatrix colorants, additives and equipment to the thermoplastic injection molding and extrusion industries in the southeastern, southwestern and midwestern United States
-Coordinating and creating opportunities throughout the plastics industry value chain within the region
-Ensuring full coverage with technical, purchasing and manufacturing personnel at Colormatrix current and potential customers
-Training customers on the proper use of ColorMatrix colorant and additive systems
-Liaising with ColorMatrix corporate sales and marketing management to maximize business volumes and opportunities in the region
-Coordinating with ColorMatrix R&D and laboratory to orchestrate and plan required customer trials and development activities
-Participate in ColorMatrix product training sessions at the discretion of ColorMatrix sales management
-Attend industry conferences and sales planning sessions at the direction of ColorMatrix management
-Facilitating effective communication between sales management and customer base
-Prepare written documentation(trip reports, monthly reports, forecasts, etc.), per the direction of ColorMatrix management
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIREMENTS: A BS/BA degree with 4-6 years manufacturing sales experience in either the plastics or liquid color industry. The individual is expected to possess extensive experience in handling multiple departments, priorities and projects simultaneously to completion. Excellent verbal and written skills required. He/she must be capable of traveling through a territory of several states. This person must work effectively with a broad range of customer types including company presidents and production employees. Southwest salesperson should be bi-lingual, Spanish/English.

•Training for ColorMatrix’s various metering systems and implementation procedures for all applications.

•Advanced training outside the company in Quality Management, Inventory Control, Accounting, Manufacturing Engineering, and Environmental Health and Safety Issues is required to effectively represent the owners in this position
