Sales and Applications Manager

Manager, Sales and Applications REPORTS TO: Corporate Office Mgr., Sales and Applications Primary Purpose: Supervise customer service and sales administration Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Prepare price quotations 2. Prepare correspondence for sample requests 3. Follow up sample and quotation status with customers 4. Keep complete records of communications with customers (electronically and hard copy) 5. Expedite late orders and special delivery requests 6. Maintain contact information in the ACT database 7. Supervise, train, and review customer service staff 8. Maintain customer contracts, purchasing agreements, and non-disclosure agreements 9. Authorize pricing and advise lead time on active part numbers and new parts 10. Maintain documents for customer service procedures 11. Provide technical support to customers and recommend appropriate products 12. Periodically visit customers to discuss their technical needs and to negotiate contracts 13. Represent the company and trade shows and industry functions 14. Work in other areas and perform other duties as required by manager Education & Experience: 4 year electrical engineering degree and advanced degree in engineering or business 10 years industry related experience and 5 years management experience Must have basic computer skills and keyboard proficiency Language and Math skills: Written and oral skills exhibiting a good command of the English language Ability to work with fractions, percentages and advanced math skills required for technical analysis and statistical analysis of data. Physical Demands of the Position: The duties of the job require the ability to communicate over the phone in clear English. Visual acuity for reading and locating documents is required. The ability to perform small manual tasks such as making copies or filing documents is required. Must be able to travel by car, plane and trains throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. Work Environment: Office is air-conditioned in summer, heated in winter.
REQUIREMENTS
