Sales Representative - Territory Manager - Distribution Sales

The Sales Representative draws on their knowledge/experience working with distributor sales representatives to drive sales of the company’s rapid diagnostic tests to clinical laboratories, reference laboratories, physician office laboratories, clinics and out-patient testing centers.

The Sales Representative is responsible for:
Maintaining a high-level of focus on the company’s products
Train distributor representatives on the proper/most effective way to present and detail the company’s products
When appropriate doing demonstrations to prospective customers for distributor representatives
Train laboratory staff in proper use of the products
Act as first level of customer support for clients.
Support and communicate regularly with distributor partners
Introduce new products within assigned territory.

This position requires overnight travel. This position is responsible for Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Idaho and Montana.

Our client is a leading manufacturer and marketer of consumer and professional medical diagnostic products and developer of advanced medical devices.

This company's extensive product menu of diagnostics assays includes test to confirm the presence of infectious diseases, including tests for mononucleosis, pregnancy and respiratory therapy plus some sexually transmitted diseases. These diagnostic products are used in physician offices as well as to hospitals and laboratories

Compensation
The compensation for this position consists of a competitive base salary, uncapped commission plan, mileage allowance, cell phone, laptop, expenses and benefits.
REQUIREMENTS
BS/BA degree is required
Outgoing personality
Excellent oral, written and presentation communications skills
Minimum of 2 years sales experience of working with distribution partners/distributor sales representative selling to clinical laboratories ie hospitals, reference laboratories, clinics or physician office laboratories - 2+ years of work experience in a clinical laboratory is the only alternative work acceptable
Experience selling diagnostic tests or reference laboratory services to clinical laboratories is preferred
Excellent selling skills including time and territory management
