Sales Representative - Erosion Control

Facilitates erosion control product sales growth for assigned geographic area. Responsible for increasing employee knowledge of erosion control products, developing selling tools, executing product promotions and ensuring regulatory compliance. Drive sales, profitability and market share growth for erosion control products by manging the sales cycle, ensuring proper stocking levels and merchandising for the season, communicating internally and externally the product push by season, and assisting the sales force through joint sales calls. Support marketing promotions and events by providing product knowledge and training. Develop inside and outside sales representatives erosion control product knowledge through on the job training, seminars and joint sales calls to customers. Develop and implement in-store training for operations employees. Deliver sales and training tools to the market. Demonstrate field expertise by visiting job sites with sales representatives and determining the appropriate course of action to eliminate problems and provide customers with advice. Partner with Inventory Services Department to ensure inventory product mix and stocking levels are appropriate based on company standards and the needs of the customers. Provide sound and knowledgeable advise to customers and employees regarding products, pricing, training and merchandising. Manage local vendor relations. REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree of Science in Horticulture, Agriculture or Biology preferred; or two years related experience and/or training in landscaping industry; track record of success in sales and expense management; demonstrated sales and negotiation skills; ability to communicate in a clear, positive and effective manner; excellent organization and time management skills; intermediate computer skills; hold valid drivers license and have a "satisfactory" driving record according to Horizon's automobile insurance carrier.
