Sales Engineer - Artesia

Purpose of position

Artesia Technologies, an Open Text company, designs and builds innovative
solutions for the smart management of digital assets - empowering everyone
with the freedom of creativity. Artesia has always been at the forefront of
Digital Asset Management (DAM). We helped pioneer the DAM space, and we will continue to pave the way.


Currently Artesia is recruiting for an outstanding Sales Engineer for its Western Region!


Artesia Sales Engineers are responsible for supporting the sales and marketing functions at Artesia. Successful candidates should be very technical with the ability to talk to end users in a language they understand. In addition, SEs must be able to discuss our software product, enterprise class architectures and how to implement our software with IT personnel. Experience in Media and Entertainment, Publishing, and Government is a big plus.

REQUIREMENTS
Skills and Knowledge

· Demonstrations of our product at all user levels in both MAC and Windows environment.

· Technical writing for RFP responses and other documents.

· Technical architecture for enterprises. In particular J2EE Architecture.

· Solutions Creations (putting all the right pieces together to satisfy a business case/workflows).

· Professional Services work Order creation.

· Supporting Marketing trade shows.

· Consulting experience in diverse technology and business environments.

· Successful candidates must possess the following skills:

- Oracle

- SQL Server 2005

- Solaris

- Windows 2000/2003

- MAC OSX

- J2EE architecture

- WebDav

- Experience with rich media such as video and images

· Understanding and experience with all aspects of Software Development Lifecycle.

· Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills.

· Demonstrated effectiveness in project efforts in terms of quality, timeliness, initiative, motivation and team interaction.


Optional/desirable skills and knowledge

Familiarity with the following tools would be an added bonus:

· Final Cut Pro

· Indesign

· Photoshop

· QuarkExpress

· MS Office


Academic

Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or MIS

Work Environment

General office environment. However, work outside of these hours may be necessary due to project schedules, and deadlines. Travel is required - North American based in excess of 50%.
