Sales Engineer
Sales Engineer
The Sales Engineer is responsible for presenting and evangelizing Parature’s product offerings and architecture in the best light to prospects and customers, to evoke confidence in Parature’s product features and technology infrastructure, and removing all technical objections in the sales cycle. To accomplish this, the Sales Engineer must have a strong desire to leverage their technical and/or sales skills, including the ability to solicit business requirements, develop a technical sales strategy, configure and effectively demonstrate the solutions that address these requirements and provide business value.
Job Responsibilities:
Understand the customer/prospect’s need(s) and work closely with the sales team to establish Parature as the best solution that addresses that need(s)
Build and present customized demos both in an onsite and/or online setting
Present Parature’s technology infrastructure, including demonstrating deep familiarity with Parature’s hardware, software, networking and security architecture
Participate in all appropriate product, sales, and procedural training and certification to acquire and maintain the knowledge necessary to be effective in the position
Attain quarterly and annual objectives assigned by management
Writing proposals for services engagements as requested
Assist in responding to RFPs as requested
Mentor and coach peers sales managers on product knowledge

REQUIREMENTS
Required Skills/Experience:
B.S. Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent work experience
Previous experience as a sales engineer or trainer in a software/technology industry
Knowledge of related applications, relational database, ASP solutions and web technology
Basic programming experience in HTML and other web based technologies
Solid oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team to solve technical problems in varied political environments
Ability and flexibility to travel domestically and internationally as required
Team player and consistent overachievement of team quota and revenue goals
Preferred Experience: Previous experience as Sales Engineer for a CRM company.
