Sales Data Analyst

Reporting to the VP Sales/Marketing, provide sales reporting system development, ensure reporting systems are implemented properly, improve efficiencies of processes using improved sales reporting information systems, and provide departmental training and support in software/systems operations. Manage the development, coordination and administration of current and new software as applicable to the operations of the department. Encourage/promote team support to sales and marketing, customer service, and finance.
Responsibilities:
* Support Sales and Marketing in all areas of sales reporting development and systems, forecasting and anything else to promote system efficiency within the departments. Also support financial efforts when needed in areas related to commercial operation responsibilities.
* Maintain a Superuser status of all software programs utilized by sales, marketing and finance to include: BPCS, Cognos, SQL, IMANY, IMS, Electronic Data Transfer (EDI), CRM, and any other software package utilized by these departments. Assist in issue resolution and identification of enhancements to the existing software applications, and provide software training and support when needed. Recognize needs and provide improved efficiency and effectiveness strategies for operations within the sales operations, marketing and new business areas with regard to sales reporting, budgeting and forecasting and all types of data available to the department and supplied to management.
* Provide expertise in the use of Cognos and other software tools in order to provide upper management and the sales team with an efficient and effective system of reporting pull-through sales. This additional capability will make use of extensive data analysis tools for an improved management decision making process. Provide expertise in the development and continuing improvements to the Cognos Product Profitability reporting system, and expand the reporting to provide management with added data analysis capabilities.
* Provide an efficient means of tracking monthly, quarterly and yearly sales and forecasts to accommodate comparison studies, thereby providing reliable data to management with proper system checks and data validation.
* Provide the Sales/Marketing team with improved systems, training in all software packages available to the department, and provide additional systems support to sales and marketing, customer service, charge-backs, bids and contracts, and finance when needed.
* Follows Teva Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures.
* Other duties, as assigned, or as business needs require.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
Education Required: Preferred: BA degree
Education Preferred: Information systems.
Experience Required: 5+ years healthcare industry experience with sales operations, Medicaid, chargebacks, bids and contracts, finance, manufacturing and or information systems.
Experience Preferred: Health Industry related experience.
Specialized or Technical Knowledge, Licenses, Certifications needed:
Excellent verbal, computer, and written communication skills. Must be knowledgeable in Excel and Advanced Access, experienced in AS400 operations, BPCS Version 405CD (modules to include order processing, promotions and bids/contracts, finance, inventory management, purchasing and MRP modules), EDI, and extensive reporting experience using SQL and Cognos, and familiarity with IMANY and IMS Health analysis data. Must be able to work independently with a minimum of supervision as well as work well with people from many disciplines and varying degrees of technical experience.
