Our Sales Co-workers are some of the most important contacts our customers have with IKEA. Their primary goal is to sell our range, and they do this through a combination of their love for retailing and their knowledge of our customers, our concept and our range. Sales skills and knowledge of the IKEA concept are important, but equally important is their ability to reflect IKEA values through their way of working and their way of acting as people. Sales Co-workers are part of the sales team in the IKEA store.Your Responsibilities:
Share product information and benefits with our customers by maintaining Basic Actions and shelf-choice, and through personal selling skills.
Maintain the sales area in shape as new, clean, stocked and priced.
Provide visitors with a positive shopping experience by ensuring that customer convenience standards are met or exceeded in your sales area.
Ensure that merchandise is presented according to IKEA standards and that the range is properly labelled and signed.
Meet our visitors, providing sales help and information at all times.
Adhere to inventory control procedures.
Take responsibility for developing yourself through education on the sales floor and through internal training programs.
Be the product expert in your area.
Contribute to an environment where the IKEA culture is strong and where the diversity of our co-workers and customers is valued and embraced.
Assume responsibility for projects and tasks as they occur.
REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge:
Interest in home furnishings and in-depth knowledge of our products.
Computer aptitude.Capabilities/Motivation:
Strong interest in home furnishings.
Will and ability for further development within IKEA.
Proactive and courteous customer approach.
Good communication skills.
Desire to share knowledge and learning.
Desire to develop and grow.
Problem-solving skills.
Drive to contribute and to work in a fast-paced, exciting environment.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. (25kg)
