Position: Sales - Business Development Manager

Established national placement firm seeking a Sales professional for rapidly expanding IT division. Whitaker Consulting works with its clients to help staff their IT applications projects, i.e. Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft, JDE, Siebel, etc.
REQUIREMENTS
Sales - Business Development Manager

We are looking for a motivated, aggressive self-starter with the attitude to succeed. As a BDM, your goal is to uncover IT staffing opportunities with new clients and develop a strong relationship of trust and dedication such that over time, they start to work with you and Whitaker exclusively.

What makes this possible and what makes Whitaker unique is that we leverage our software application, recruiting and business expertise to find superior IT talent for our clients. By having this focus, we effectively reduce their IT costs and assure that their project is a success. And that is our goal. We are successful because we are not IT staffing generalists. Our strength and sole focus is recruiting and staffing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) projects. In other words, we help our clients deliver their project on time, on budget and on function.

Since our service is dealing with people, as a BDM you must have strong communication skills, a positive attitude, enthusiastic personality and enjoy dealing and working with people. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as is the ability to interact with high-level professionals.

As an BDM, you will be building a long-term business. Therefore, you will work closely with the VP of Sales and put together a business plan, targeting specific accounts and industries, and outlining your short-term and long-term strategies. Although much of your initial time may be spent on the phone, this is NOT an inside sale position, but rather an opportunity to build your own territory and personal client relationships face to face. Further, because you will be placing contract consultants on projects, you will be building a monthly residual income.

Income Potential:

This position has unlimited income potential and includes a highly competitive Salary + Performance-based Bonuses. Strong, six-figure income potential in your second year. We know you may have read this before, but we have the history to prove it. Benefits include major medical, dental and 401(k).

Education/Professional Experience:

Degree and/or previous work experience a plus, however, not mandatory for the right person. Please be aware, we are not looking for an entry-level sales person with no real-world experience and track record in a professional sales environment.

Office Location:

This position is based in west Houston (1200 Enclave Parkway, Suite 200, Houston, TX 77077). You will be working in an office with a team of Recruiters and other BDM's. You will NOT work from a home office.

Relocation:

There is no relocation allowance for this position, so please only apply if you live in or near the west Houston area, or are planning to relocate.
