The primary purpose of this job is to provide sales and marketing support for the Direct Finance field sales organization (District Managers; DMs) and assist in servicing and generating New Business Volume from a targeted direct customer base and select vendors.
Provide sales and marketing support for assigned team of District Managers and backup support as required for other District Manager sales teams. Assist in achieving team's targeted production goals. Origination/Customer Service: Key duties include developing relationships with key contacts within assigned existing client organizations, prospective clients, specific vendor relationships, developers and various vendor/equipment sales reps. Sales support: Prepare proposals and lease quotes (pricing) as required, complete credit applications, assist with documentation requests, follow-up on transaction status through internal deal process and inform internal staff, DMs, management and customer contacts of such status as required. As required, prepare cash flows, net funding models, assist with lease negotiations and prospect for new business opportunities within assigned territory. Occasional travel required in order to attend vendor sales meetings, internal sales meetings, and industry trade shows. Responsible for tracking and reporting sales activity including monthly sales forecasts, application status, sales bookings, etc. REQUIREMENTS
General: Solid communication skills (written and oral), sound interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team setting with a variety of internal and external sales individuals, dependable, well organized, self disciplined and ability to handle multiple tasks.
Technical: Experience in lease origination process and customer communications. Solid financial skills including the ability to discuss and implement financial concepts/solutions which includes structuring capital, operating, tax, synthetic and tax-exempt municipal lease transactions. Ability to prepare proposals incorporating tax benefits, residuals, delayed fundings, discounts, etc. Functional knowledge of HP12C or HP17B, T-Value, Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) , or two years experience in equipment finance and leasing industry or equivalent combination of education and experience.
