SALES EXECUTIVE (LIGHT FIXTURES - B2B)
OUR CLIENT, A LEADING SUPPLIER OF LIGHT FIXTURES TO THE HOME & APARTMENT BUILDING INDUSTRY SEEKS A DYNAMIC SALES EXECUTIVE FOR THE HOUSTON, TEXAS TERRITORY.KEY ROLE IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF NEW BUSINESS ACCOUNTS AS WELL AS MAINTENANCE OF EXISTING ACCOUNTS.MUST HAVE STRONG CUSTOMER SERVICE, FOLLOW-UP AND RELATIONSHIP BUILDING SKILLS.
POSITION REPORTS TO SENIOR MANAGEMENT AND OFFERS EXCELLENT COMPENSATION, BENEFITS PACKAGE, CAR ALLOWANCE, TRAINING, ETC.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Effectively manage the assigned territory· Establish contact with existing clients to maintain and build future relationships· Establish new clients through cold calling, research and networking within the assigned territory.· Be versatile “hands-on” salesperson and be able to conduct presentations to upper level personnel when required.· Be technically competent to understand applications and be a problem solver for customer’s issues.· Posses the skills to access the customer’s needs and sell the pertinent solutions.
· Able to probe, question, and gather specific information about the customer, their needs and track the information for short and long term projects.· Be an experienced, self-starter that understands territory management, time management and has strong customer service skills and is self-motivated.· Liaise with internal sales support and operations staff on requirements, quotations, orders, or follow up to insure customer’s needs are met.· Work closely with management to insure company goals and objectives are being met within the territory.· Relay competitive information and new market or product requirements to grow the product line and maintain reputation as a leader in the field.· Possible supervisory responsibilities.. Meet with pertinent parties on issues relating to quality control.
· Responsibility and accountability for the financial results of the assigned territory.
REQUIREMENTS
. 6+ years of business to business sales experience with focus on light fixtures, lighting applications, ceiling fans, electrical devices, etc· Strong territorial management skills· Must be a self-starter, motivated, and versatile salesperson, “hands-on” when needed, and able to conduct presentations to upper level personnel when required.· Must be experienced in forecasting, budgeting, and developing a territory with little supervision.· Computer literate and experienced with Microsoft programs and sales database programs.· Able to read blue prints and drawings for take offs.
· Able to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and be a strong problem solver.· Able to compose quotations and generate correspondence to customers, end users, and reps that conforms to prescribed style and format.· Able to effectively present information to management and public groups when required.· Strong electrical aptitude· Able to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
