Two Chefs on a Roll is a food processor that is looking for a motivated individual to join its Carson, California team.

Research & Development Coordinator

The job –
Manage the commercialization process for R&D department. Coordinates activities and communicates needed tasks, status and timelines with other departments.
Run the sensory evaluation and shelf life programs for the department including scheduling and administering sensory and microbiological testing.
Source raw materials and packaging for new products and cost optimization projects.
Maintain a high quality, least cost approach for all raw materials purchased for R&D.
Confer with vendors and distributors to understand product availability.
Maintain concise documentation of formulas and work papers.
Provide formulas and batching information for costing.
Compile label information - nutrition facts and ingredients for new and improved products.
Acts a liaison between R&D and Operations.

REQUIREMENTS
Ideal candidate should have experience in R&D and will have had experience in a food manufacturing or pharmaceutical company.
Minimum two years of college education.
Competent in Microsoft Word and Excel software and must have the ability to learn new programs on a reasonable amount of time.
Bilingual (English and Spanish) skills are preferred.
Candidates must have excellent organizational skills. Must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
