Regional Sales Manager(Specialty Chemical)Position Description
D.A. Stuart is currently looking for an Regional Sales Manager to manage our southern territory. The position is responsible for the growth of sales and gross sales margin of assigned regions. Provides the direction, control and assistance to enable assigned personnel to meet the company’s objectives.Responsibilities
Responsible for hiring, training, evaluating, and developing the sales representatives in their region.
Provides the coverage needed to maintain gross margins and sales growth. This includes knowledge of the markets, manpower, and account assignments, as well as budget planning and implementation.
Works primarily in the field with sales representatives to evaluate, coach, and assist at major accounts. Provides sales support and guidance where needed.
Responsible for the control of sales expenses in order to produce profit.
Maintains contact and makes personal calls on major accounts in the region.
Prepares sales forecast reports and budgets as directed.
Works with Product Managers on preparation of proposals, seminars and training programs.
Advises Product Managers of the need for service on products and aids in handling problems.
Recommends the need for new products and works through the Product Manager to develop these. This includes providing market information needed to prioritize the products and markets.
Suggests changes in procedure that could help sales growth.
Documents competitive information from all sources available.
Executes assignments from Division Manager.
Plan and attend sales meetings when requested.
Act as liaison between MIS and marketing group.
Assist in the development and execution of sales proposals and presentations.

REQUIREMENTS
Must have a proven track record of success in new account generation, major account sales to large multi-site customers using consultative selling expertise
Prefer 4-year degree in business curriculum and/or technical discipline.
5+ years sales experience in specialty chemicals, machine tools, tooling and/or industrial fluid/lubrication processes
Must have at least a year of experience as a sales manager or supervisory position
PC knowledge required.Must have excellent communication and organizational skills.
