JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the success of the sales plan within his/her territory. The Sales Manager is responsible for growing GPX revenue by managing a sales territory and by selling new accounts and increasing revenues from existing accounts. GPX sales manager mentors and coaches Sales reps and will work with City Managers, District Managers, Agents, Agency Sales Managers, GPX Regional Operations Managers and industry partners to facilitate the maintenance of existing clients and new sales growth, as well as personal direct sales contribution.

Responsibilities:
? Grows assigned territory through their direct sales efforts. Territory growth will require the sales manager to call on new customers and existing customers.
? Assist in Training, Coaching and mentoring of Sales Representatives.
? Monitors District sales performance and acts on negative trends.
? Assure consistent implementations of marketing strategies within their pertinent district.
? Identifies and reports operational challenges or deviation from standard procedures.
? Get involved in solving operational breakdowns when requested or required.
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS:
? Bachelors Degree
? 3+ yrs. direct sales experience in the transportation, shipping or logistic industry
? Small package or expedited modes of transportation service preferred
? Strong analytical, interpersonal, decision making skills and negotiation skills
? Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
? Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
? Demonstrated ability to sell GPX value proposition to new businesses
? Demonstrated sales management skills, as well as training and motivational skills
