Regional Sales Manager - East Region
Schunk Graphite Technology (SGT) is a stable, growing organization which is part of a globally active corporation. We are looking for TEAM players who can help drive this growth.
SGT is seeking an Experienced Regional Sales Manager for industrial electrical components is needed to help us grow business in the East region (NY, PA, WV, VA, MD, Canada - ON, QC, eastern Provinces).
Position will be based from a home office located anywhere within the territory. Travel throughout the territory as well as some international is required.

Job Purpose:
Sells products by maintaining and expanding customer base; managing sales territory!!!
Duties include:
Maintains and expands customer base by building and maintaining rapport with key customers; identifying new customer opportunities; providing customers with technical support.
Achieves sales operational objectives by contributing sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; resolving problems; identifying trends; determining sales system improvements; implementing change.
Meets regional sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
Establishes sales objectives by creating a sales plan and quota for product line in support of company objectives.
Recommends product lines by identifying new product opportunities, and/or product, packaging, and service changes; surveying consumer needs and trends; tracking competitors.
Participates in technical seminars, sales meetings, trade shows and other events as appropriate.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks.
REQUIREMENTS
Skills needed:
Technical sales experience is required preferably to mining, petrochemical, light rail, pulp & paper and electric motor industries. Experience with carbon brushes for electric motors or other electric motor components is a definite plus. This is a dynamic, growing opportunity for unique, in-demand products which will challenge a high performing sales professional!
