Regional Sales Manager - East Coast

The company is a well-known, $60 million+ foreign owned manufacturer and marketer of plastics injection molding equipment.The company is a leading supplier of very sophisticated injection molding technology, has a very strong product portfolio and is frequently developing new and innovative products which are sold at premium prices. The company sells directly to its customer base and is located in the Mid-South.The company is hiring a Regional Sales Manager for their East Coast sales region. This sales region has a large revenue potential but is currently vastly under-developed.
The successful candidate will be located on the East Coast.
REQUIREMENTS
Direct sales experience with injection molding equipment is strongly preferred but not required. A minimum of 7 years, high-value capital equipment sales experience is required. The candidate will have a high-energy level and a strong desire and proven experience in developing a sales territory, and will be expected to aggressively strive to meet regional sales goals. Knowledge of the plastics industry, either from injection molding, mold making or related plastic industry capital equipment is a must. The candidate must have excellent technical skills and the ability to explain mechanical concepts. An engineering degree or similar technical background is an advantage. The company emphasizes the need for technical skills.COMPENSATION:The company offers a competitive base salary and an aggressive commission program which easily brings the total compensation into 6-figures.
