Basic Functions and Responsibilities: *Exempt*Territory: New York CityRegional Sales Manager is accountable for increasing revenue for ESE products and services. The Regional Sales Manager will be expected to network with key decision makers, manage client relationships and provide customer support. He or she works closely with Sales, Client Services, and Product Development staff in order to advance and close sales in key accounts. Will represent ETS at the county and district levels and assist Large Scale Assessment staff position ETS in the New York City's assessment market. Overall, the Regional Sales Manager will work with a team of people to sell and deliver consulting, training and technical support services that improve learning and achievement to current and new customers in New York City.Increase sales of incentive eligible products and services to achieve and exceed revenue goals for the assigned territory.Manage expenses relative to budget and territory revenue achieved.Manage time and territory efficiently and effectively to uncover, advance, and close sales that are aligned with the revenue goals for ESE.Develop a network of K-12 educators and policy makers that influence, select and use the ESE products and services to improve learning and achievement in the public, Catholic and private schools.Develop an in-depth knowledge and understanding of ESE products and services and their application in the K-12 education market.Develop territory and key account plans and monitor progress using uniform metrics.Plan, create, customize, and execute effective presentations, including demonstrations of ESE products and services.Attend and participate in selected conferences and exhibits on the state and national levels.Manage new and existing customer expectations in order to foster strong relationships, increase sales and promote customer satisfaction.Coordinate a team of instructional and training specialists to deliver services that support ESE products and services.Monitor and accurately forecast territory revenue on a monthly and quarterly basis using tools such as SalesForce.com and Microsoft Excel.Monitor state and Federal legislation to uncover opportunities, trends, and impediments to ETS.Provide weekly territory and sales updates, including sales activity, pipeline of renewals and new opportunities, competitive intelligence, and territory expenses.Provide periodic updates on the competition?s activity, product acceptance (ours and theirs) and related market intelligence at the territory or state level.Apply Info: Internal:Please send cover letter and resume to Denise Santoro at MailStop 02-D or e-mail to [Click here for email]. REQUIREMENTS
Education: Masters Degree in Education or related area or equivalent work experience is preferred. Bachelor Degree required.Experience: K-12 teaching and administration, preferably in one or more areas of curriculum, instruction, assessment and technology or equivalent in publishing or instructional technology organizations. Educational sales experience with a record of meeting and exceeding quotas is preferred, but not required.Other Requirements
Outstanding organization and planning and problem solving skills, motivated and self reliant, excellent interpersonal skills, works well in a team setting, and proficiency with technology for productivity and CRM.
