REGIONAL SALES MANAGER - SOUTHERN USA & MEXICO
SUMMARY:
The Regional Sales Manager promotes and sells technology products and services to top global pharmaceutical customers and business partners in his/her territory and/or target accounts. The RSM will report to the Director of Sales. The RSM is responsible for all aspects of the sales cycle including: direct selling, prospecting, opportunity management, proposal generation and closing business according to territory plan. She/he must demonstrate excellent account and territory management skills to meet/exceed sales goals. This position is located in the southern part of the USA and Mexico.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Promote and sell the value of technology products and services according to the company's policy and directions.
Focus on opportunities that are consistent with the company's strategies.
Propose and implement strategies to expand revenue and accounts within an assigned territory and/or target accounts.
Develop strong customer relationship to ensure maximum satisfaction and repeat business.
Compile a list of prospective customers, generate and qualify opportunities.
Understand customer's application, overall objectives and requirements to propose the best solution for the application.
Obtain samples for evaluation, develop quotes and close opportunities.
Develop, manage and maintain industry contacts with decision makers and influencers.
Develop strong relationship with business partners' sales organization.
Prepare and conduct sales/product presentations and demonstrations.
Maintain current customer and prospect records.
Establish forecasts according to the company's guidelines.
Provide regular reports on accounts and sales activity as directed by management.
Manages expenses according to the company policy.
Facilitate the resolution of customer issues and complaints.
Participates in trade shows by representing the organization an sharing information on products.
Keep current on company's product and solutions, and industry trends.
Collect information on customer's unfulfilled needs and potential product/services improvements, and report it to headquarters.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical packaging marketplace: customer requirements, applications, regulations, packaging plant locations, decision makers and key players.
5 - 10 year of successful direct sales experience of technical products.
Consistently reached/exceeded sales targets.
Experience selling automation products, Machine vision, and/or capital equipment sales
(hardware/software).
Experience in consultative selling of solutions combining products and services.
Ability to sell at all decision-making levels in an organization ranging from mid size to Fortune 100 companies.
Prior success in developing new territories.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Education: B.S. minimum, Engineering Discipline Preferred
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Must have working knowledge and experience using e-mail, Internet and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
Broadband internet connection ( if working from home ).
