REGIONAL SALES MANAGER Job#26238
Will be based out of Dallas Corporate Headquarters office with about 35% travel and will have responsibilities for commercial related HVAC products within the western (KC to Pacific) region of the USA. Obviously, position will involve the phone, etc since only about 35% travel to trade shows and various face-to-face presentations. Company manufactures commercial products that are sold through A & E firms, building contractors, manufacturer’s reps and through a well established distributor network. Company has a very good application engineering support group. However, the focus and efforts of this person’s sales will be through the mfg rep channel, thus must have strong mfg rep sales channel experience. Must have some type of commercial HVAC product background and have mfg rep experience, either working as a mfg rep or working for an OEM and working with mfg reps. This sales mgr role will be to evaluate mfg reps, recruit reps, train reps and follow up to see that mfg reps are truly selling their product and have the proper sales tools to properly represent the OEM in the market place.
The previous western regional mgr was recently promoted. Hence, there is opportunity for your career growth and the region is not in shambles.
Company designs and produces commercial products within the HVAC market. Their products are regarded as the ‘Cadillac” of the industry and company through lean mfg methods is able to meet quick delivery dates. Also, having 9 plants across the USA helps in getting product to the market quickly. Company’s development and design engineering dept continues to evolve new products and lead the market in innovation.
Suburban Dallas is headquarters for the corporation as well as home for sales and marketing and development/design engineering. Company has grown from 4 –5 plants to 9 plants in last 6 years with over 300 million annual sales. Company is aggressive and continues to do well when other companies are crying about business. Past growth has been built until an aggressive business approach and quality products and excelling at innovation of new products. Parent Corporation is a multinational firm doing more than 6 billion dollars of sales per year. The company management profile is that of achievers who are successful as opposed to an organization where judgment of capability is based upon years of experience. Located in suburban Dallas.
Compensation: $62,000 to $70,000 base and bonus to 20%
REQUIREMENTS: BS Mktg, Bus Adm or such, MBA is a plus.Must have 3+ years sales experience with commercial HVAC type of products. Must come from a background working for a design/manufacturer with experience of sales through manufacturer’s reps or come from being manufacturer rep for commercial types of HVAC products. Experience with commercial HVAC products is required. Not more than 3 jobs in last 8 years. Good presentation and communication skills.
REQUIREMENTS
