Product Marketing Manager
Business Unit: GE Industrial, SecurityFunction: MarketingResponsibilities: This position is responsible for the growth and management of assigned product offerings and for leading new product initiatives in established product categories.Responsibilities include:Works closely with broader team to fully understand business strategy and help translate that understanding to MGPP that will facilitate achievement goals, short & long-term.
Oversee operational and cost aspects of production across multiple product lines, manufacturing locations, outsourced vendors and warehouse locations with goal of minimizing costs while maximizing profit and optimizing quality.
Guides short & long term product: planning, development, introduction support, and pricing based upon solid market research and thorough understanding of customer needs.
Recommend functional specification, appearance, technology basis, method of operation, and cost goals for engineering.
Develop strategies and tactical plans for each product. Work with Marketing Team to project market size, competitive analysis, distribution channels, and market strategies.
Collaborate with Marketing & Sales to develop and execute new product introduction plans.
Focus on customer needs as the primary driver behind all that we do.
Visit key customers to assist sales team and learn of field needs.
Assist in the development of product literature and documentation.
Review customer inputs concerning products and take appropriate action.
Assist in development of product training materials & programs.
Manage partner relationships and define and implement co-marketing agreements.
Writes detailed functional product specifications
Develops & presents business cases & ROI analysis for NPI programs
Successfully introduction new products & supports throughout life-cycle.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: BS in Engineering, Marketing, Business, Economics, Finance, Commerce, or AccountingMust have at least ten years experience in Marketing/Sales with at least 2 years in Product Marketing.Proficient in Microsoft Windows and MS Office computer software and analytics softwareMust have at least 5 years of audible and/or visual signaling experience.Must have strong financial/operational acumen and have managed outsource supplier relationships.Must submit your application for employment through www.gecareers.com or COS to be considered.Must be 18 years or older.Must be willing to take a drug test as part of the selection process.Must be willing to submit to a background investigation as part of the selection process.Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.Must be willing to accept an annual salary that is not more than $110,000.Must be willing to work out of an office in Plainville, CT.Must be willing to travel up to 30% of the time.Desired: MBA preferred
Working knowledge of the Security Industry will be a Plus.
Proven performance record in working with engineering and manufacturing organizations to:
1) bring a technical product to market; 2) resolve complex technical product issues; 3) successfully complete the development of a new technical product.
Proven interpersonal skills and leadership skills
