Product Manager, Licensing

Primary Purpose:Oversee and manage operations for existing and new licensing partnerships.•Perform due diligence on new licensing opportunities.•Act as primary contact for Licensees on all matters outside of product design.Create product assortment / merchandise plans (including SKU count and price points) in collaboration with Licensee.•Partner effectively with within Licensing and with other departments to accomplish goals and resolve problems.•Review product sales vs. MSLO plan (distributed by business analyst, licensing), and lead reviews internally at MSLO with Design, etc.•Identify and implement policies and procedures, set deadlines and ensure that all internal and external team members abide by project schedule and have information that they need to accomplish their tasks.•Work together with design to be sure assortment plans are adhered to.•Maintain constant communication between Licensee, Design, Marketing and Creative Services to be sure all parties are held accountable to required deliverables. Serve as liaison between all internal and external departments to ensure the timely delivery of approvals and materials.•Partner with Licensee to submit Creative Briefs to Creative Services on time.
•Collaborate with marketing department to develop marketing programs that support the brand, drive sales and increase product awareness.•Create and supervise timelines for all product categories. Ensure that all functional areas are aware of the pertinent deadline dates and approval procedures. Monitor on a daily/weekly basis.
•Communicate any recaps to the team and other relevant parties.•Run meetings / conference calls with Licensees and provide clear direction to the team.
•Be able to anticipate changes and work with the Licensee / team to find solutions whenever possible. Flexibility is essential in this role.•Attend Creative Services and Marketing meetings and advise groups of all pertinent changes they need to be aware of.•Work with Licensee to conduct necessary research and competitive market reviews to keep MSLO ahead of the curve.•Keep accurate records of all decisions and communicate to larger group as necessary.•Manage direct report in delegated responsibilities (tbd).•Train and oversee direct reports, including mentoring them in managing above their core responsibilities as delegated (tbd).•Evaluate performance of direct reports using MSLO standard practices (tbd).
