POSITION SUMMARY:
Position is responsible for all aspects of the travel insurance product development and management. This includes: 1) the end-to-end management of existing products including product line extensions/enhancements, product performance reviews, and product integrity, and; 2) the development of new products including market research, competitive analysis, development of new product business plans, product launch project management, product documentation and implementation.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
•Identify market needs and address them through new product development, product extensions, and updating features and benefits.
•Develop new product business and cross-sell plans, including quantitative analysis of market conditions, competitive environment and trends
•Lead cross-functional teams in new product launches, including management of project timelines and deliverables.
•Propose and coordinate implementation of enhancements to existing products and websites
•Identify optimum product distribution methods and develop supporting capabilities
•Ensure product performance maximization by monitoring product performance, recommending and implementing improvements
•Serve as key interface with Underwriting Department for pricing, product benefit and policy development
•Prepare presentations for sales/marketing meetings and events
•Perform other related duties as assigned by management


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
•3-5 years product management or development experience, preferably in a travel, insurance or financial services company
•College degree required, MBA preferred

•Strong performer in team environment with excellent written and oral communication skills
•Demonstrable research and analytical skills
•Working knowledge of financial fundamentals
•Negotiation and influencing skills
•Ability to solve problems and manage multiple priorities
•Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, Project, PowerPoint and Excel
•Ability to interact/communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, vendors, and clients
•Ability to travel is required
