Today, we serve 99 percent of the Fortune« 1000 companies, as well as government organizations, educational institutions and thousands of other companies in diverse industries worldwide.We are currently looking for a qualified Principal Product Manager to join our Wily Technology Division at our Brisbane, CA office.Wily is seeking a Principal Product Manager to work closely with peers and executives throughout the company to formulate and implement market-oriented strategies to solve customer problems and drive company success. The Principal Product Manager will lead and define product requirements, features and positioning. He will also work closely with Business Development, Sales, Marketing and Engineering to manage the development of the product line, drive new product launches and monitor success in the field.The Principal Product Manager develops Business Plans, including price points and business justification, for new products. Works closely with Engineering to understand product functionality, identity market trends and define requirements specifications. Also prepares Market Requirements Documents and materials to guide Engineering in product development. This position researches and anticipates customer needs in current and potential market segments, and determines the most effective pricing and packaging for a product. Works with Release Management to make sure product release milestones and other goals are being met to spec and on time. Works with Product Marketing to develop product messaging and participate in trade shows, press and analyst tours etc. Also works with Sales & Support organizations to ensure that product direction and strategy are in line with our customers' needs. In addition, visits customers to understand their problems and identify new business opportunities. The Principal Product Manager works with industry leaders to define new products and responds to field and customer inquiries on complete product capabilities and roadmap. This position requires 20-40 percent travel, yearly.The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in a related field, MBA preferred. Experience should include typically 5-10 years in an industry related role. Candidates will have worked in technical support, system administration or product development type roles with exposure to marketing.It's an exciting time at CA.
