Pre-Sales Consultant

Ideal Candidate must have worked for a Business Intelligence government agency who will be working closely with Sales Account Executives to assist in pre-sales activity by providing the technical recommendations and configuration scenarios to prospective customers Create and present tailored solution-oriented demos
Research and respond to technical inquires from customer and prospects including RFP/RFI and RFQs
Contribute to clients body of knowledge by providing feedback to management and other parts of the organization (ie. provide feedback to development staff on future product enhancements, quarterly win/loss reports, assignment to internal working teams or other activities designated by management)
Drive revenue
Prepare and deliver formal technical presentations to prospects and customers
Targeted to become and expert in a particular area of technology and vertical market
Work with current and prospective customers to map their business requirements to Livelink SAP Solutions features and functions
Review and remain current on new product features and competitor offerings
Function as the technical liaison between clients and technical support
Travel within assigned region - 40% to 80% travel may be required.
REQUIREMENTS
Strong pre-sales experience in the Federal Government arena
Domain Expertise in Federal/State Government
3-5 years direct software (or related) pre-sales support experience
7-10 years total technical/sales experience
Imaging, archiving, electronic information management, workflow, Federal Government Specific Solutions a plus
General knowledge of Document Management and scanning systems
Excellent presentation, communication, and time management skills
Ability to work at Corporate Executive level
Ability to present to C level audiences effectively
Selling skills, ability to listen, knows when to not use "techno-speak"
Strong proposal writing skills
Self Motivating, problem solving, ownership & resolution skills
Must be able to operate under minimal supervision with judgment for independent actions
UNIX and Windows (configuration, installation, network) knowledge including experience in the installation and configuration of UNIX and Windows programs

Drive additional revenue by working with customers and prospects to solve their business problems/issues. The Solutions Consultant will assist clients in defining specifications and requirements, build customized demonstrations of client products and applications and provides technology presentations to both technical and management-level audiences.
