Outside Sales Representatives / Internet Yellowpages Sales
Position Summary:
The Senior Account Executive will be responsible for the sales of Internet advertising products to local businesses. The Account Executive is an outside sales position, directly responsible for acquiring new business with high value clients and agencies. The Account Executive will present our products to potential clients through web based demonstrations and consultations. The Account Executive is enthusiastically focused on customer success, while continuously striving to bring in new business.
Top candidates for this position will be confident, organized, and love the thrill of closing new business. Working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment, the Account Executive will be comfortable in new sales situations and will enjoy face-to-face sales. We are seeking goal-oriented, motivated salespeople to join our Sales Team.
Responsibilities:
Acquire and develop new search listing advertisers for the 'pay for performance' platform.
Hunt new customer sales by heavy prospecting and cold calling.
Identify business opportunities and meet with decision makers to obtain customer commitment and facilitate delivery of product.
Develop, with the Account Executive team, ongoing improvements to the process of prospecting, qualifying, and closing key accounts.
Consistently meet or exceed aggressive sales goals, demonstrating focused sales efforts, an understanding of our products and business model, and an understanding of the internet advertising environment.
Have a deep understanding and ability to analyze client ROI goals and data, media buying cycles, marketing philosophy, target demographics, etc.
Educate customers on product and marketing strategies to improve their “presence” on the Internet and build value in the company/customer relationship.
Create and implement custom solutions for each client.
Responsible for special projects as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years prior outside sales experience, preferably in a service/solution or media environment.
Proven ability to attain and exceed sales quotas.
Ability to maintain a high level of new business sales activity in a fast-paced environment.
Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong presentation, networking, time management and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in the use of MS Windows, Office, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
BA or BS in Business, Marketing or related field preferred.
Local businesses that long have been skeptical of advertising on the Internet seem to be changing their minds with the advent of paid online search.
That category, which gives prospective customers listings of local businesses in their neighborhoods similar to the community Yellow Pages, is projected to be one of the fastest growing advertising segments over the next five years.
A market outlook by Borrell Associates, a Portsmouth, Va. research and marketing firm, found that local paid search revenues will more than double, to $900 million next year from $346 million in 2005, as more local businesses get comfortable with the medium.

Required Skills:
Preferred candidates have sales and management experience with any type of advertising, directory services and/or telecom. If you have worked for any other major yellowpage directory or online directory, we would like to talk to you.
