We are excited to announce the relocation of our Nordstrom Topanga store to Westfield Shoppingtown Topanga on October 6, 2006. We are currently hiring for Cosmetics Sales positions for our Topanga store.

Nordstrom is hiring for Cosmetics Sales at the following locations:

•Topanga Plaza
•Glendale Galleria
•The Galleria at South Bay
•Westside Pavilion
•Paseo Nuevo in Santa Barbara
•Santa Anita
•The Grove

Our Cosmetics department offers a wide range of fine fragrances, hair and skin products, and bath and body lines. Cosmetics at Nordstrom offers selling positions that include Counter Manager, Beauty Advisor, and Fragrance Advisor. Current opportunities are available for the following lines:

•Clinique, Shiseido, Trish McEvoy, Smashbox
•Lancome, Bobbi Brown, Philosophy, Origins, and many others!

As a salesperson in our Cosmetics department, you will assist customers with complimentary makeup, skincare and/or fragrance consultations and a comprehensive product selection. To enhance your skin care, artistry and fragrance selling skills, we offer training specific to the vendor you represent. We also offer an exclusive Skin Care Certification and Fragrance Certification Program (there are terms and conditions that apply to this program). Job Requirements Primary Responsibilities:
•Greet customers in a timely, professional and personable manner
•Use product knowledge and selection to provide exceptional service to customers and build your sales
•Offer hands-on cosmetics consultations
•Build lasting relationships with customers by contacting them to follow up on purchases, suggest new merchandise, and remind them of upcoming events
•Perform merchandising tasks, such as stock, re-merchandising, display, price markdowns, and transfers

Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with customers and co-workers of diverse backgrounds and cultures

Able to work well as a team player in a fast-paced, energetic environment

Proven ability to plan, set and achieve goals

Be a self-starter and use good judgment in all situations

Previous experience in cosmetics sales preferred
