Mutual Fund Regional Sales Director - West coast

GE Asset Management is recruiting regional mutual fund wholesalers to drive GE mutual fund production through commercial intermediary channels.Responsibilities Primary responsibility to drive production in assigned territory through advisory channels consisting of wires, banks, Independent broker/ dealer and large advisor platforms Develop & maintain existing and new relationships with top producing financial advisors at various intermediary platforms as a means to achieve the sale of GE mutual funds. Ensure that financial advisors are knowledgeable regarding GE mutual funds and informed of recent developments / performance. Work closely with Sales Leader for Advisor channel to maximize territorial sales. Person will Report current trends and opportunities to national sales team. Travel 75-80% of the time to various branch offices within their assigned region, attending industry trade shows and conferences and visits to the home office in Stamford, CT. Person will keep call notes and pipeline up to date within the GEAM CRM Maintain highest level of compliance with all security regulations
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: * A minimum of 5-10 years industry sales experience Track record of significant production / extensive financial consultant contacts Highly motivated individual with strong organizational and inter-personal skills Self starter with ability to develop regional sales plan Bachelor degree required Series 6 or 7 and 63 securities industry registrations Effective negotiation, communication, interpersonal skills Independent self starter and team player You must have Legal authorization to work in the United States. You will have the ability to travel without restrictions for around 70% of the timeFlexibility to travel as needed Willing to work long hours as neededDesired: * Advanced degree or other industry designations, i.e. CFP CIMA, CFA, etc.General: GE Asset Management (GEAM) is a subsidiary of General Electric Company (GE), and has been managing investments for GE's U.S. employee pension and benefits plans for more than sixty years.
