Be actively involved and engaged in driving and creating processes that enhance current sales of MaxAssurance. Responsible for the analysis of sales performance and training needs and the design and implementation of training to improve MaxAssurance sales performance throughout the territory. All OfficeMax managers are expected to: attract, select and retain self-motivated, disciplined & determined team members, use clearly defined goals to shape behavior and guide decision making, create an environment of accountability, responsibility, problem-solving & sharing, and be influential and persuasive; prepare their team for change; be supportive during periods of change.
Position ResponsibilitiesObserves and analyzes effectiveness of selling activities to identify necessary behavioral changes to improve sales performance in individual stores and on a market level. Develops strategy to address any underperforming stores in conjunction with the District Manager and territory team. Coaches store team members as necessary to improve performance and consistency. Delivers training utilizing existing training programs, programs tailored for the specific market and develops programs to fill specific needs. Designs training seminars and trains others to conduct training. Effectively coordinates and facilitates MaxAssurance training sessions throughout all markets in the territory. Maximizes MaxAssurance sales in the territory by developing sales driven managers and associates. Tracks MaxAssurance sales / penetration information for the territory/markets/districts/stores. Communicates successes and opportunities. Works closely with external vendor to ensure best possible performance throughout the territory. Makes recommendations to management regarding overall observations for selling opportunities and any other opportunities observed. Communicates with the Director, Sales & Productivity and territory team weekly to report progress. Demonstrates a commitment to OfficeMax core values of safety, integrity, process improvement, and customer satisfaction. REQUIREMENTS
Current Store Manager in good standing with 1 - 3 years of experience performing duties as a manager in a retail store High school diploma or equivalent experience; some college preferred Training / Presentation background a plus Strong Leadership and analytical skills Strong organizational and problem solving skills Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Able to handle multiple projects/tasks and meet deadlines Able to operate OfficeMax computer systems relevant to job duties Able to demonstrate knowledge of OfficeMax policies and procedures Ability to travel as necessary (estimated travel requirement of 50 - 75%)
