Mechanical Technician

Titan Req. No.: SID06-27ML-3 Communications, System and Imagery, develops and manufactures digital imaging and electro-optical systems for government and commercial customers. Most of the company’s products are used by the defense and intelligence communities, while some have been developed and adapted for commercial customers in fields such as vehicle location, fingerprint identification and optical tracking. We’re currently seeking innovative professionals to join our unique team as we continue our history of excellence.DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:The successful candidate will provide mechanical integration and assembly support to the various programs within the Systems and Imagery Division. This individual will perform electrical and mechanical assembly, system and subsystem checkout and test; may support vehicle environmental and performance testing at off-site locations; support system and vehicle maintenance and upgrading at the factory and at customer sites.EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE:It is essential that the qualified candidate have an Associate's degree (A.A. or A.S.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of three years related experience is mandatory for this position.DESIRED:
NoneSKILLS/EXPERIENCE:It is essential that the qualified candidate have the following skills/experience: Ability to perform integration of developmental electronics equipment and other mechanical systems into commercial vehicles, military vehicles and shelters Perform limited design under supervision of an engineer and follow documentation from a design engineer. Able to assemble products from a combination of any of the following: Traveler, Drawings, Sketches and Written Instructions. Ability to understand and implement verbal instructions and to be able to communicate issues and problems effectively to engineering staff Perform a wide variety of assembly operations utilizing drills, soldering guns, screwdrivers, precision measuring instruments, power tools, air guns and other hand held tools. Perform testing of sub-assemblies and assemblies utilizing Acceptance Test Procedures and other written instructions. Run computer diagnostics and troubleshoot.
