Marketing Specialist-Government Services
Compensation:
There is assistance available for relocation.The Marketing Manager will report to the Principals of the Government Service/ Management Consulting practice and collaborate with senior leadership throughout the firm. The primary responsibility of the Marketing Specialist is to maintain the marketing plan for the Government Services Practice.In addition, the Marketing Manager will be responsible for:
Becoming an industry expert in the government consulting sector to include understanding the market space, understanding the government's decision making criteria on proposals, identifying motion detectors and bringing them to the attention of management.
Developing and executing the Government Services Practice marketing plan, including positioning of the services. In doing so, ensuring that the firm marketing standards are reflected in the Government Services Practice marketing materials. Performing market research and presenting business opportunities for review.
Coordinating the review of the request for proposal (RFP) for bid/no bid decision.
Managing the Government Service team's proposal process to ensure quality, consistency and proper coordination. Specifically, the Marketing Manager will be responsible for:
Developing the outline for the response to proposal;
Maintaining qualifications database to include resumes, and corporate and practice qualifications;
Identifying best practice language/qualification summaries from prior proposal for use in future proposals;
Performing graphics design, as required;
Participating in the quality review/proof reading of the proposal response for grammar, consistency, and information flow;
Leading the internal debrief process and support the external debrief process.
Packaging of the final proposal; and
Delivery of the final proposal within the specified timeframe.
Continuing to support national marketing by continuing to manage/design/edit/resize advertising as necessary (most work will be related to business and charitable sponsorships and some trade publications--in short, all advertising for publications that do not provide an agency discount). Providing training support to other Reznick Group marketing staff, as required. Performing occasional graphic design project work, as required. This will involve:o Managing multiple priorities;o Teaming with others in marketing across multiple offices;o Identifying and managing deadlines;o Identifying size and submission guidelines;o Writing/developing appropriate Reznick Group advertising messages;o Developing creative/choosing appropriate images for artwork; ando Consistently submitting artwork on time for both approval and final submission.
REQUIREMENTS
Travel Percentage: 10%
Bachelors Degree
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a professional services environment, providing marketing support to a diverse client base. Government services industry experience preferred
Proven ability to write and edit original copy based on a solid understanding of related issues
Proven proposal experience
Ability to manage multiple priorities, be a self-starter and consistently bring ideas to marketing team and firm leadership
Demonstrated understanding and experience in proposal, website and event marketing
A demonstrated understanding of the government services industry
Meticulous attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Determination to consistently meet and exceed expectations
Research experience preferred
