Marketing Representative
Standard Parking is a long standing Chicago-based, publicly traded (NASDAQ) company which provides parking and transportation management services for real estate firms, various municipalities as well as hospitals and universities. Over the last few years the company has grown rapidly through a series of acquisitions to the point where it now manages 2,000 locations in North America and employs roughly 12,000 employees.
We provide on-site management services at multi-level and surface parking facilities for all major markets of the parking industry. We manage parking facilities containing more than one million parking spaces in hundreds of cities across the United States and Canada.
Our diversified client base includes some of the nation's largest private and public owners, managers and developers of major office buildings, residential properties, commercial properties, shopping centers and other retail properties, sports and special event complexes, hotels, and hospitals and medical centers. In the airport market, we manage parking-related and shuttle bus operations serving airports throughout the United States.
We also provide an array of related ancillary services to our clients. They include, for example, valet parking services that we provide at urban and airport locations, as well as on-street parking enforcement and meter collection services that we provide for municipal clients.
Responsibilities
Conduct market research that captures data on target market demographics, competitor initiatives, and industry trends.
Create and send client/tenant letters (rate increases, sales letters, update letters to tenants, letters requested by the client).
Meet with Senior Manager and client on a weekly basis.
Develop and maintain marketing collateral (brochures, flyers, handouts, signage, coupons and sales letters).
Coordinate, implement and manage various marketing initiatives (marketing programs, direct mailings, telemarketing campaigns, e-mail campaigns and web searches) to achieve business objectives.
Analyze marketing results/trends and make recommendations for improvement/implementation.
Generate monthly marketing activity reports, charts and statistical tables.
Implement annual marketing plans and develop marketing budgets accordingly.
Interact with internal and external vendors.
Research marketing media opportunities - print, radio, billboard, cross promotions, web site advertising and links.
Track garage activity.
Report progress of marketing goals and strategies to Senior Manager and Client.
Handle customer inquiries from employee web site.
Meet with clients as needed.
Coordinate amenity programs and customer appreciation days.
Make cold calls to area property/office managers to obtain new business for garages.
Network with property managers/garage clients and attend trade association/neighborhood meetings as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
2+ years of marketing and/or account management experience is required.
BA/BS in Business or Marketing preferred.
Solid marketing background.
Solid customer service skills are a must.
Computer literate to include Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Motivated self-starter who works well with minimal direction.
