Marketing Consultant

Ryder’s Fleet Management Solutions (FMS) business segment combines several capabilities into a comprehensive package that provides one-stop outsourcing of the acquisition, maintenance, management and disposal of vehicles. Ryder’s commercial rental service offers customers a method to expand their fleets in order to address specific or short-term capacity needs.

Ryder is seeking a Marketing Consultant who will be responsible for the following:

Objective of this role is to develop and support organic growth across FMS’ product lines by conducting analyses and modeling to support the core product strategies and managing program execution

Person will reach objectives by focusing on the following activities:
· Conduct analyses and marketing research to support core product strategy development (e.g., prospect segmentation, develop and manage customer and prospect research)
· Provide analysis and resulting recommendations/conclusions from research activity
· Build financial or economic models to support execution plans and strategy
· Manage RFP (requests for proposal) support
· Execute lead generation programs with specific focus on coordinating national account sales lead generation activity
· Design and create collateral/sales and marketing materials to support organic growth goals including working with vendors to design, develop, print and mail materials as needed (may need to provide this type of support to other marketing areas also)
· Develop creative ideas for lead generation
· Work closely with sales reps (specifically DBD’s) to support new account acquisition
· Work closely with sales reps (specifically DNAs ) to support organic sales in national accounts

Specific tactical marketing activities role will oversee
· Capabilities presentation and proposal template
· Large deal targeting
· National accounts family tree marketing
· Trade show coordination
· Other activities as determined by Group Director Core Products
·Assist Group Director Core Products in reviewing and refining overall lead generation strategies at the local and national level
· To ensure effective and efficient execution of programs to drive organic growth
· Support national sales reps (DBDs, DNAs)

Education/Experience/Skills/Required Qualifications:

· 4-year college degree with focus in marketing, business or economics
· MBA with concentration in marketing, finance or strategy preferred
· 4 + years marketing experience and/or significant experience developing business/product growth strategies for established products; significant experience developing tactical marketing programs to execute the business/product growth strategies
· Experience in leasing or transportation industry preferred
· Experience with Microsoft excel, PowerPoint and word
· Ability to create financial models
· Other characteristics include good written and oral communication skills, high energy, ability to work on teams, strong work ethic and drive for increased responsibility
