Marketing Analyst

The ideal candidate will possess high levels of energy and enthusiasm and a professional, can-do attitude. An ability to work quickly under deadlines with strict attention to detail is a must. Strong quantitative analytic skills, coupled with a practical knowledge of spreadsheets, are required. This position is open to all business/communications graduates with a 3.0 GPA minimum. 2-3 years of relative work experience is preferred. Shearer’s is a safe, drug-free work place. The Marketing Analyst will drive sales at Shearer’s by supporting the Director of Marketing in a multi-faceted role as highlighted below:
REQUIREMENTS
1. Category Management:


•Provide timely and accurate reports, account scorecards and sales analysis in support of Shearer’s selling team.

•Develop meaningful reports and analysis that identify opportunities and propose actions that contribute to Shearer’s and our retail partners’ success.

•Identify sales opportunities and losses by mining raw sales data from Shearer’s internal and retailer based POS reporting.

•Qualify all quantitative data references used with clear thought and evidence that backs up and adds meaning to the numbers.

•Support Shearer’s efforts to grow market share by analyzing and critiquing ACNielsen data.

•Apply and translate previous experiences and knowledge to support the Shearer’s fast paced growth. Help push Shearer’s sales forward.


2. Customer Support:


•Work closely with the sales team and across all departments to solve Shearer’s daily business challenges.

•Create powerpoint presentations that clearly communicate the marketing department’s strategic initiatives.

•Contribute analytic skills to support the development of business plans and reporting that emphasize actions and achieve measurable results.


3.Product Management


•Learn to become a product and assortment knowledge resource for both Shearer’s and Shearer’s customers.

•Actively manage and track Shearer’s growing and diverse assortment of snacks. Pay careful attention to all sku details.

•Partner with members of the marketing team to add value to the management of the greater Shearer’s assortment.
