Managing Director- Communications

Maryland Public Television has an immediate opening for an experienced Communications professional to coordinate the development and articulation of MPT’s messages to the outside world. Will collaborate with senior staff to ensure that institution-wide messages reflect MPT’s mission, vision and core values. Will act as MPT’s spokesperson and orchestrate on-going media relations program. Will provide input into the nature and content of advertisements/commercials and coordinate placement and tracking of the same. As a key member of the Institutional Advancement team, the incumbent will support MPT executive level relations with the corporate sector, government and the community at large.

REQUIREMENTS
We require a Bachelor’s degree and five years of professional experience in Communications, Public Relations or a related field. Two years of supervisory experience required. Candidates selected for interview will be asked to bring work samples.
