Manager, Membership Sales

This position is responsible for meeting the membership sales objectives established for HERSHEY Country Club and acting as liaison between the membership and Club management in order to meet the service commitment of exceeding membership expectations; developing and promoting creative marketing plans to drive membership in order to exceed established profit plan objectives, all in accordance with established HERSHEY Country Club and Hershey Entertainment & Resorts Company policies and procedures.

PLEASE NOTE: Beyond the base salary listed, this position is also eligible for an incentive plan.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

Marketing and Promotion

1. Develop and implement marketing strategies and plans to promote membership, group outings and tournaments at HERSHEY Country Club.
2. Actively work plans to achieve the targeted new member sales goals.
3. Pro-actively react to changes in market trends and membership needs in order to maximize membership revenue.
4. Develop and foster relationships with sales and marketing to ensure effective communication and feedback.

Guest Satisfaction

1. Actively solicit and react upon membership feedback to continuously improve our product quality and delivery systems.
2. Attend member events.
3. Handle member complaints in a timely, empathetic manner.
4. Exceed the service commitment through a hands-on management style.
5. Promote an environment of safety, sanitation and cleanliness.

Organizational Management

1. Create an environment of open communication with the membership of the Club and our employees.
2. Take a leadership role in Club staff meetings.
3. Establish and maintain superior quality standards.

Leadership

1. Establish an environment of excellence through leading by example and providing positive recognition for outstanding performance.
2. Monitor feedback to improve our service performance.
3. Foster an environment of idea generation.
4. Motivate the team through active participation in staff meeting and staff interactions.

Financial Management

1. Prepare sales reports, forecasts and financial analysis pertaining to membership.
2. Monitor membership attrition and adjust the sales plan appropriately.
3. Maximize revenue and profit through proactive, creative and marketing strategies.
4. This position also acts as Manager of Duty.
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS:

1. B.S./B.A. (Hospitality Management or related field preferred)
2. Three years of hospitality sales experience.
3. ACT database management experience a plus.
4. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Delphi and GolfNet.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

1. Physical requirements include the ability to communicate, visual ability to perform at close distances, and mobility.
2. Schedule will vary, but primarily involves Monday through Friday business hours.
