Manager, DNS Field Compliance/Technical Support

To add to our team of talented people, we are currently seeking a Manager, DNS Field Compliance/Technical Support within our DISH Network Services Department.



The responsibilities of this role include:



Manages a team of Field Installation Support Technicians who are responsible for engineering data collection, field troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for the Dish Network system. Manages technical compliance and state-by-state liscensing and compliance issues.



Specifically, duties include (but are not limited to):


Oversees the Dish Network Services (DNS) field engineering. Provides field engineering expertise to DNS management. Promotes operations within and between departments. Confers with leaders of other departments to establish organizational priorities for engineering improvements.

Delegates work assignments on a daily basis. Continuously monitors, evaluates, and mentors subordinates to determine the effectiveness of their performance and success in achieving department goals.

Is responsible for supervision of the group involving staffing, conducting performance appraisals, training and developing subordinates, promotions, salary increases, termination, and disciplinary action.

Directs P&L responsibilities for the Compliance/Technical Support group.

Participates in the development of fiscal budgets.

Develops, reviews, maintains, and implements policies and procedures for daily, weekly, and monthly field engineering operations that are focused on identifying key problems with the Dish Network system and improving overall system reliability.

Creates and establishes performance metrics to determine acceptable levels of quality for various business functions and units.

Is responsible for the selection of the final course of action among several alternatives for enhancements to system performance. Should be able to benchmark and identify best practices from other organizations in order to speed process change.

Ensures improvements are implemented completely and measures the success of all changes to system engineering. Uses a high level of diplomacy to implement controversial changes and ensure that process owners embrace the changes being made.Maintains and applies broad knowledge of practices and procedures in area of expertise.

Minimum qualifications to be considered are:


Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university, or 2 years of related experience; and 4 years related experience, including 2 years supervisory/management experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Is responsible for supervision of the group involving staffing, conducting performance appraisals, training and developing subordinates, promotions, salary increases, termination, and disciplinary action.

Ability to travel 25-50% of the time
