The Manager, ACIS Projects and Support is responsible for all aspects of Information Technology supported clinical systems (functional, operational and procedural) including data quality, education and end-user support.The position is responsible for maintaining supervisory relationships with the application analysts and for managing and coordinating daily operations for the team.The manager is responsible for the integrity of electronic data, which is achieved by managing thorough analysis of vendors and their products, and creation and adherence to process methodologies, policies and procedures for software support and maintenance.This manager’s responsibility also maintains and promotes CHI project methodology including standard project tools, reports and structures.This manager is responsible to mentor all other team members in following and promoting CHI project standards.1. Responsible for the management of production clinical systems.2. Full management responsibilities for Application and Implementation Analysts, to include hiring, scheduling, performance evaluations, coaching, counseling and career development.3. Participates in the development of strategic and tactical plans and business process re-engineering for the Application Services group.4. Manages the maintenance of application systems and assures the effective integration and utilization of installed capability.5. Manages associated zero-based operating budget and assures adherence to approved budgets.6. Manages clinical application vendor relationships.7. Participates in and promotes CHI Project standards and processes.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum three years management and supervisory experience in an information technology environment, preferably in healthcare or a healthcare related industry.Skill, knowledge and experience implementing and supporting one or more Cerner Millennium module preferred, experience with Cerner or similar industry standard product implementation and/or support required. Must have demonstrated knowledge and/or skills in the following areas: Knowledge of the application of computer technology in the healthcare industry. Management and leadership in an information technology environment. Ability to manage and work on multiple projects at the same time. Organizational skills to facilitate a productive working environment. Demonstrated ability to manage the implementation of long-range IT plans and strategies. Project Management certification and/or experience in project standards Functional accounting, budgeting and variance accounting. High degree of experience with implementing and supporting and/or developing IT systems and applications. Knowledge of system and application development. Proven organizational skills and time management. Strong vendor negotiation skills. Experience with Crystal and NPR development tools. Knowledge of industry standard practices in IT support function.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Business Administration or Healthcare required.Actual, verifiable, successful and sustained performance as a manager in an information systems department may be substituted for the minimum educational requirements.Benefits
