MID-LEVEL BUSINESS ANALYST (for Web Based Projects)

BA will actively work with customers to analyze business/project needs, gather and document business and system requirements as well as define functional requirements for the projects. This position requires constant interaction with the clients and all the stakeholders of the
project.

Individual will lead systems analysis efforts on small and medium size web based projects and
will work as a member of a combined systems analysis team on medium to large complex
projects. Individual will be responsible for the creation of detailed functional use cases, functional specifications, process/data flow diagrams and will be responsible for assisting with Unit and Systems level testing as required. Individual will be responsible for tracking and resolving issues identified during the functional analysis phase as well as status updates and issue escalation.

Responsibilities include:
Interview users, stakeholders, and anyone else whose perspective is required to be taken into account during the design, development and testing phases of project execution.
Distribute discussion summaries to verify the data gathered during interviews / meetings.
Create software requirements specifications and use cases.
Work closely with the project team, serving as the liaison between the engineering team and the end users and assisting the Project Manager with scope management.
Coordinating multiple activities for multiple activities with varying timelines from initiation through project completion.
REQUIREMENTS
Necessary Skills:
Experience level: 5-6 years as Business Analyst in medium to complex projects.
Must have experience in gathering requirements for Complex Web Development projects.
Experience in Formal design / development methodology (UML, Rational, SDLC).
Must have experience in leading cross-functional teams.
Must have excellent technical writing skills, including developing analysis models.
Ability to explain technical topics to non-technical clients.
Must be a team player.
Business analysis and strategic planning skills are required.
Must be able to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities.
Must be detail-oriented and accurate.
Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, work independently.
