Legal Marketing & Business Development Manager

MARKETING & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGERSeeking an experienced marketing professional to serve as the primary relationship manager for all marketing and business development activities for the New York office of this global law firm.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Developing marketing and business development plans for the office and key practice groups
Managing the proposal process
Preparing and submitting practice area directory listings
Overseeing the development and maintenance of website content, lawyer biographies and other marketing/communications materials
Conducting internal and/or external research and analysis
Working collaboratively on media and public relations efforts
Overseeing the production and promotion of client seminars and special events including preparing budgets
Managing relationships with outside vendors
Communicating with other offices regularly on the activities of the office
Performing other responsibilities as defined by office or Firm leadership or the Director of Business Development
Works collaboratively and proactively with lawyers and members of the national marketing and business development team
REQUIREMENTS

College degree with 7+ years experience in legal or professional service marketing
Candidates with experience marketing to investment banks, private equity firms and other financial institutions, and/or energy related companies preferredPLEASE read before applying....
We are only looking at marketing and business development professionals with experience in either a law firm or another professional services firm (financial services, management consulting etc.)We are not considering candidates whose career has been in consumer products, retail, advertising. Nor are we looking at Sales Managers.
