This position will be responsible for supporting the optimization of service request (work intake) processes and tools at UnitedHealth Technologies. UnitedHealth Technologies leads the development and management of UnitedHealth Group's infrastructure to support business needs.



Responsibilities:
Become a subject matter expert on the service request (work intake) processes and tools utilized by UnitedHealth Technologies.
Based on fact-finding and stakeholder/user input, define and implement both systems and business process solutions to promote efficient service request work flows both within UnitedHealth Technologies and with the UnitedHealth Group client community.
Present functionality overviews and other key requirements and design information to stakeholder community.
Perform analysis of alternatives, provide recommendations, and perform data mapping.
Generate innovative ideas to resolve problems.
Handle complex issues and discrepancies of opinion among stakeholders to negotiate resolution and priority.
Interface with technical and quality assurance staff members to ensure that technical specifications meet business requirements. Engage in quality assurance activities, when appropriate.
Provide training to user/stakeholder community.
Anticipate future trends and potential impacts.

Job Requirements:

Requirements:
Relevant college degree or equivalent experience.
Five or more years of experience as a Business Analyst.
Ability to handle tasks of high complexity and to multi-task.
Experience with work intake processes.
Pragmatic approach to process improvement.
Prior experience doing business process / work flow analysis and design.
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
Independent, self-directed, and responsive.
Prior experience on system adoption and integration projects.
Proven track record of delivering quality products within aggressive timelines.
Prior experience working in an environment that utilizes use cases as a part of its software development methodology.
Experience with software development projects and methodologies.
