Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking a Director of Practice Group Development. The individual will work with attorneys who serve and section heads across key practice groups and supervise a support staff This position answers into the Chief Marketing Officer?Spotting and developing information about trends in the multiple industries?Working with and coordinating the activities of the firm’s client teams to identify opportunities to improve and expand legal services delivered to the clients?Working with practice areas to identify substantive legal issues that are relevant to the firm’s clients. team currently focuses on services in the following areas – it will be the Detector’s responsibility to understand key trends in each of these areas and to work closely with the attorneys to expand the firm’s business in these areas with both existing and new clients:?Financial products and services?Intellectual property?Commercial transactions and global outsourcing?Corporate & M&A?Compliance?Litigation?Project Finance

?Banking
?Credit and derivative transactions?Insolvency and restructuring?Working with the firm’s practice groups, to develop and implement its plan for business and client development,?
?The ideal candidate will:?Have at least 6 years of experience in a professional service firm with business development experience?Have at least 3 years of professional experience in the Financial Services industry or in a law firm concentrating on Financial Services.?Have excellent oral and written communication skills?Have an outstanding track record of generating creative and effective ideas and of working with others to implement those ideas?Be energetic, self-directed, and possess the ability to influence and motivate others.?Be focused and results oriented.?Have a minimum of a B.A., and a J.D. or M.B.A desired.
