Provide accurate interpretive services using target language and English. Conduct translations of audio language material and documents in hard copy and electronic formats in a manner that maintains the integrity of the material. Write and speak in clear and concise grammar and pronunciation in the specific foreign language and in English. Provide accurate and idiomatic translations of non-technical material using correct syntax and expression from and to the specific foreign language in English. Provide written translation of general and technical material into and from the specific foreign language in English. Quickly scan and process a large amount of material in the specific foreign language for critical and essential elements of information defined by the government. Provide input to government counterparts in the production of written reports developed from target material utilizing the specific foreign language, such as provide a gist, summary, transcript or written translation of the material.Minimum requirements:
Must meet customers qualifications for overseas deployment. Must have and maintain at least a level 3 capability as described by the Interagency Language Roundtable. Must possess native or very near-native competency in the Izon and English. Must be eligible for overseas deployment. Specifically, must have an excellent command of the grammar, constructions, and syntax of the foreign language. Must be abreast of idioms, colloquialisms, and slang and have a sophisticated understanding of the cultural, social, and political environment in which the language is used. The native speaker must be bilingual to the extent that he/she can produce well-written and accurate gists, summaries, translations, and reports in American English. Must be US citizen. Final Secret clearance or clearable. Must be willing to be formally evaluated on English and foreign language skill.Desired:A thorough knowledge of the Target Language cultural, geopolitical, and economic issues. Final Secret Clearance.
