Responsible for the overall coordination of TC-AIMS II interfaces with the user community and the developer.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Duties:
Support the Project contract on effort to identify, define, refine, document and maintain the interfaces for the Transportation Information Systems (TIS) software development effort. Candidates should be comfortable working with a diverse set of contractors and all grades of customer personnel. This individual will work with the software development contractor and other relevant organizations, such as those involved with Transportation, Logistics, and Human Resources (interface partners). Individual should have knowledge of requirements derivation and standards technologies. Strong analytical, writing and oral communications abilities are required to define and document interface requirements. Individual will coordinate with the System Interface Engineer and development organizations within Project to ensure consistency among interface requirements, architecture artifacts, and the COTS products selected for implementation. Additional responsibilities include identifying and managing risks, developing and maintaining schedules, and preparing and delivering written presentations in support of customer meetings. Work closely with interface engineer in the identification of requirements and development of the interface agreement with the interfacing partner engineering staff.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSRelevant Experience (amount and type):
Systems engineering experience related to requirements, interfaces and architecture. Experience developing and analyzing interface control documentation. Knowledge of DoD and Commercial Transportation organization and programs. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Windows 2000/XPoperating systems.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Strong interpersonal, problem solving and multi-tasking skills. Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills. Understanding of military transportation systems i.e. GTN, GATES, WPS, IBS etc. is a plus.WORKING LOCATIONS & ADDITIONAL INFO
