Due to product growth and expansion within our tri-state territory of Florida, Georgia and Tennessee, Auto Club South Insurance Company is looking for an Insurance Market Analyst to join our growing team in Tampa. Our Market Analysts will perform a combination of pricing and competitive analysis.

The selected individual will…

•Analyze data, develop material and present to product management to assist in decision making

•Complete independent research, recommend actions and implement solutions regarding competitor actions in conjunction with various state insurance bureaus directives

•Execute scheduled rate reviews and indications

•Develop pricing for current or new property/casualty insurance coverages and products

•Formulate and interpret mathematical ratemaking models

•Develop, update and maintain systems to meet internal and external competitive analysis

•Determine relevant factors and research suitable trend indications for analysis
REQUIREMENTS
The selected candidate will have a BA/BS Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Math, Statistics or related field. Acceptable candidates could also have a BA/BS Degree in an unrelated field with relevant professional/technical experience. Software applications skills are extremely important and the candidate will need to demonstrate proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products.

Preferred skills also include: experience in personal lines insurance pricing and competitive analysis on personal lines insurance products and rates, knowledge of current property/casualty insurance rating programs, forms language as well as underwriting rules and requirements. Professional insurance related coursework ( CIC, AAN, IIA, IDMA, CPCU or Actuarial Science ) is preferred.

The ideal candidate will also have demonstrated the ability to analyze data and draw sound conclusions, communicate those thoughts effectively and work both individually and as part of a team.
