JOB DESCRIPTION:Job Description: Industry Team Manager- Audio IndustryBasic Function:•To plan, develop and manage short and long term strategies for all aspects of marketing and distribution of company products to the Music Industry channel in the USA. This channel is comprised of sub channels Music Retail, Sound Reinforcement and Recording Studio. This position reports to the Vice President- Sales and Marketing- Professional ProductsManagement Responsibilities:•Understand fully the needs of the customers in the channels; from product, price, promotion and communication standpoints. • Develop pricing, programs and promotional campaigns to maximize success in the Music Industry Channel.•Understand fully the competitive landscape inside the channel, as well as growth potential and opportunities/risks•Establish strong customer relationships with the top 50 influencers in the channel (may be dealers, end users, competitors, prominent personnel, etc.).•Develop long-term, strategic growth initiatives for the Music Industry channel•Achieve gross profit margin targets for the defined product categories as stipulated in the SEC Annual Budget & Strategy document•Prepare annual product marketing strategies for the Music Industry channel. This includes:oDefinition of product assortment and competitive pricing structure oLife cycle planning – Determination of discontinuations and new launchesoPlanned product promotions to increase market share and distributionoPlanned Marketing initiatives, major trade events, marketing communications needsoSWOT of current products/market position, trends and competition, market situation, needs etc.•Be the primary SEC representative for the Music Industry Channel in global product development and product marketing.•Assemble and communicate market research data on an ongoing basis containing:oAnalysis of general trends in the Music Industry marketoTotal market size and company’s current relative market share position and future growth opportunities in each market segment/channel•Manage all customer service related aspects as it relates to Music Industry products to constantly optimize processes in logistics and communication as it relates to the Music Industry channel•Initiate and collaborate with the Marketing Communications Manager on the development of product marketing communications material such as oProduct catalogs, technical specifications and user manualsoWeb site communicationsoSelling tools for the sales staffoCompetitive pricing and product feature matrices•Support Marketing Communications in the preparation and execution of trade shows and promotional events related to the Music Industry channels•Authorize expenditures of up to $5000. with no additional approval. •Develop and maintain a Channel Contact Database•Manage the Music Industry Product Manager(s) whose primary responsibilities are to:•Be the product expert and be available to address customer and internal needs/questions as related to the applicable products•Use historical data, combined with known changes going forward to develop sales forecasts for each item in their portfolio, feeding into supply chain management for inclusion in the Demand Planning Process•Be the primary communication link, both internally and externally, for competitive information collection and dissemination, and for product feature, advantage and benefit information•Prepare and execute product trainings for SEC staff and external stakeholders•Manage the Applications Hotline position•Perform any other tasks as needed to support growth of the Music Industry Channel and/or SEC JOB REQUIREMENTS: Skills and Qualifications:•Oral and written communication skills•Presentation skills.
