The Doe Fund is a non-profit organization that empowers people to break the cycles of homelessness, welfare dependency and incarceration through innovative work and housing programs. Our mission is to develop and implement cost-efficient, holistic programs that comprehensively meet the needs of a diverse homeless population.

We seek writers for our Development Department to increase foundation and corporate contributions.

Candidates will be a part of a team of fund raisers and will be responsible for writing proposals, reports and related materials, as well as developing relationships with foundation and corporate officers.

Candidates must have a BA, plus experience writing.

Fund raising experience and established relationships with foundations and corporations is a plus.

We are looking for an individual with extensive grant writing experience and a proven track record of successful grant applications.

We welcome writing experience in journalism, marketing or creative writing.

Candidates must be a hands-on self-starter with strong analytical skills; be highly successful in generating new prospects; have excellent writing, verbal communications skills and computer skills; must be competent in Raiser’s Edge.
