Field Sales Manager

Classified Ventures, LLC, based in Chicago, is a strategic joint-venture among six large media partners whose objectives are to collectively capitalize on the revenue growth in the online classified advertising categories of automotive, apartments, and real estate. Cars.com is the fastest-growing automotive marketplace for buyers, dealers and private-party sellers, placing nearly 7,000 dealers alongside nationwide advertising and private-party listings to offer access to both new and used automobiles. We are currently seeking a Field Sales Manager for our Chicago Headquarters. Come join our rapidly growing team!

Major Responsibilities/Project:
Develop and aggressively grow sales in designated geography through prospecting, cold calls and relationship development.
Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers through effective account management and service. Ensure their understanding of our products.
Up sell dealer customers with new products and services.
Maintain a high level of customer service through training and customer support.
Ensure current dealer satisfaction by responding quickly and accurately to dealer problems, concerns or needs.
Develop relationships with dealers and dealer groups. Leverage these relationships to maximize revenue opportunities.
Help proactively market cars.com to dealers in territory and convey the advantages of cars.com.
Live in market area while working out of home office. Candidates will work from home and be responsible for attaining specific revenue and account base goals.
Manage and grow the effective retail rates.
Manage and monitor all contracts, as well as accounts receivable.

REQUIREMENTS
Field Sales Manager

Qualifications:
2 to 6 years of solid account management and sales experience. Media and/or automotive sales experience are preferred but not required.
Familiarity with the Market and the community's dealer base preferred but not required.
A proven outside sales and account management track record.
Some college preferred.
Candidates must have a winning attitude and be able to work effectively in a self-motivated environment.
Clear communicator with a winning personality.
Superb organizational skills.
Well organized, with strong relationship building capabilities.
Proactive, results oriented, self starter.
Ability to quickly assess needs of customers
